Gijs Laceulle

Gijs Laceulle studied the modern horn and the natural horn in Amsterdam and Dresden. He then decided to specialise in the natural horn. He now plays regularly with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Berlin Academy for Early Music, the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, and Anima Eterna – with concerts in Europe, North America and Asia. Gijs Laceulle has been a Partner and established horn player in the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra since 2011. He also plays in the Nachtmusique wind sextet of Eric Hoeprich. Gijs Laceulle plays on an historical horn made by Halari (Paris, circa 1820).
