Bart Aerbeydt

Bart Aerbeydt received his first horn lesson at the Adriaen Willaert Academy of Musical and Theatrical Arts under Stefaan Vanlede. He then studied modern horn at the music academies in Gent and Antwerp under Luc Bergé and Rik Vercruysse. His interest in the colourful and expressive sound of the natural hall already stems from this time. After his Masters diploma in the modern horn he went on to study the natural horn at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam under Teunis van der Zwart. Bart Aerbeydt now plays in the leading orchestras in the historical music scene. After many years as a guest musician, Bart Aerbeydt became a Partner of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in 2011 and was chosen as first horn. Bart Aerbeydt lives in Velzeke (Belgium) with his wife and children.
